It is a great privilege at Mummy’s Wish to be able to support mums with cancer. Since Mummy’s Wish became a program of Rare Cancers Australia earlier this year, we’ve been proud to expand the range of services we can offer to mums. We’re excited to be trialling our very first Mummy’s Wish Support Group! In addition to our private Mummy’s Wish Facebook Group, this support group will run over Microsoft Teams, facilitated by one of our Support Coordinators. The group will be an opportunity to connect and have a real conversation with other mums who understand the challenges and emotions that go with a cancer diagnosis. Our first support group dates are: |

If you’re interested in joining, email us and we’ll share a Microsoft Teams link with you to join. Please note, to ensure our support groups are a safe space for all participants, you must be registered with Mummy’s Wish. We may reach out to confirm or update some of your details in our system to enable you to join. We’re proud to continue expanding the support we can offer our mums, and hope you’ll find these support groups valuable. Warm regards, The Mummy’s Wish team |

Memories and celebration at Magnetic Island event
There was a special celebration last month, the Big Red Ball at Magnetic Island. Hosted by Richard Landon, about 70 people turned out for a night of sharing memories, fun and a few tears in memory of his wife Mel. Mummy’s Wish was one of the beneficiaries of the event, which raised more than $5000 through ticket sales, auction and support from the Island Burger Bar.
Support through winter from the Big Hug Box
During winter, we were proud to be chosen as the season beneficiary of the Big Hug Box. The Big Hug Box sells packs filled with goodies to support and pamper people diagnosed with cancer.
Through the winter campaign, we are grateful to have received $1,274 generated through Big Hug Box sales. Thank you to everyone who supported this campaign.
Dry July raises more than $90,000!
Fundraising for Dry July officially wrapped up on 31 August, and we’re excited and grateful to have smashed our fundraising target!
More than 400 supporters registered to go alcohol-free and chose Mummy’s Wish as their beneficiary, raising an incredible total of more than $91,338. An enormous thank you to everyone who took part in Dry July or donated, making this huge effort possible.
