Administration Officer - Mum's Support

We are looking for a motivated and super efficient part-time Administration officer to join our busy team here at Mummy’s Wish. This position is pivotal in providing support to the Mum’s Support team and deliver our service to Mums with cancer across Australia.

This is a new role in a small but dynamic organisation. It represents a real chance for the right candidate to be part of the growth and development of Mummy’s Wish. Although we are based in Brisbane, our presence and reach is national.

We want someone who is up for the challenge of working in a new role, someone who is thorough, detail oriented but doesn’t sweat the small stuff – someone who loves getting things done.

In this role you will have the following responsibilities, among others:

  • Provide general administration support including drafting correspondence, updating systems, maintaining a database and attending to phone calls,

  • Sourcing and arranging practical services for our clients;

  • Implementation of systems and processes;

  • Procurement, fulfilment and posting of client support packages;

  • Inventory management;

  • Coordination of volunteer activities;

  • Process invoices for payment;

  • Be the main contact with service providers; and

  • Other administration and ad hoc projects as required.

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;

  • Flexibility and the ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple priorities;

  • Possess a friendly, approachable, empathetic and helpful manner;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful relationships with our service providers

  • Have a high attention to detail, problem solving skills and initiative;

  • Good computer skills, particularly using MS Office programs, Google apps and CRM databases; and

  • A willingness to assist in ad hoc projects, as required from time to time.

This successful candidate will be available 20 hours per week over four days. School friendly hours are an option.

Fundraising Coordinator

We are looking for a talented, efficient and enthusiastic full time Fundraising Coordinator to join our busy team here at Mummy’s Wish. Working across a range of channels, you’ll be in charge of delivering fundraising campaigns to our appeals supporters plus stewarding our regular givers and major donors.

This is a new role and it represents a real chance for the right candidate to grow and develop our fundraising to individuals across Australia. Although we are based in Brisbane our presence and reach is National.

Mummy’s Wish is a small but dynamic organisation. The good news is that this means that there will be plenty of opportunities to learn and develop new skills. On the other hand, you will be expected to get stuck in and do whatever tasks are required to ensure that projects are completed on time and to a high level.

Experience

You should have at least 1 year’s experience in a fundraising or marketing role. You will need excellent attention to detail and demonstrable project management skills. We also would welcome a working knowledge of digital marketing and communications strategies/channels.
