  • All mums receive a "treat bag" of goodies to brighten their day. Some of these gifts are purely practical, like a notepad to help with memory loss, a common side-effect from chemotherapy. However, most of the treats are just to make the mums feel good, like a nice new toiletries bag to use in hospital, or a magazine to read.
  • Assistance with referrals to and information on other services and support available.
  • Help with organising and funding practical help, like babysitting, house-cleaning or parking while in hospital.
  • Lending laptops to mums for use while they are undergoing treatment in hospital.
  • Putting them in contact with companies that agree to support the mums by offering free services, such as family portraits prior to treatment.

Anyone undergoing cancer treatment, especially if you are a mum, will find a wealth of information in our support directory. Thank you for visiting our site and we hope we have been of assistance. Remember if there is anything else we can help with, go to our Contact Us Page and send us a message.

Mummy’s Wish is a personalised support service for mums. We ease the burden of cancer diagnosis on our mums by supporting them with practical assistance. In 2008 we supported 5 mums, in 2009 we supported 40 mums and in 2010 we will be supporting more than 100 mums. Our goal is that by 2015 we will be able to reach and support the 1,500 mums a year diagnosed with cancer in Qld. Once we have been able to reach and support all mums in Qld then we then hope to expand our service to all areas of Australia.
